On Your Birthday... You Can Have Your Cake And Eat It Too!

Hiii! It’s my birthday! This year my birthday fell on President’s Day, which was great because I was able to enjoy the fabulous three day weekend! Friday night Andrew and I went to Catch in NYC. I have been to Catch before to have drinks with friends but never experienced the food. I have heard so many great things about this place so I was excited to finally have dinner there. Catch is also located in LA, Dubai, and Playa Del Carmen; the one in NYC is located in the Meatpacking District, which I must say is my favorite part of the city. I love this area for the cobblestone streets, the High Line, and all the restaurants. Due to high demands we had a late reservation but figured we would just go and hangout by the bar before dinner. We checked in with the maitre d when we arrived and went to order drinks at the bar; not even ten minutes later our table was ready. There were so many great options on the menu, it was hard to choose something. Drink wise, Andrew had gin and lemonade and I had the Lush Lemonade (it was a lemonade kind of night I guess lol). For an appetizer we ordered the Crispy Shrimp with spicy mayo, THIS WAS TO DIE FOR! I had the best Bang Bang Shrimp in Aruba and ever since then I wasn’t able to find a dish just as good and now I finally did! For our main course we ordered the Fifty Day Dry-Aged Bone- In Ribeye for two. This dish was outstanding, I highly recommend this if you want to share. For our side dishes, we ordered Shaved Brussel Sprouts, and Lobster Mashed Potatoes, both side dishes were fantastic. Now for dessert, if you decide to check out Catch, it is a MUST to order the “HIT ME” Chocolate Cake. It’s a Klondike bar on top of Chocolate Cake and you hit the Klondike Bar and the ice cream pours out (video found on my instagram page). Telling you guys about this is making my mouth water! They also gave us two complimentary chocolate chip cookies for my birthday, those were also great! I can now say Catch is one of my favorite restaurants. If you are in NYC check it out, you will not be disappointed!
